so I went to the show alone

난 혼자서 영화를 보러 갔습니다

 

They turned down the lights

극장 안의 불이 꺼지고

 

and turned the projector on

영사기가 켜져 돌아가기 시작했어요

started to begin I saw my darling

시작이 되었을때 사랑하는 내 그이가

 

and my best friend walking in

나의 가장 친한 친구와 같이 걸어 들어오는걸 보게 되었지요

 

Though I was sitting there they didn"t see

난 그자리에 그대로 앉아 있었지만 그들은 날 알아보지 못했습니다

 

So they sat right down in front of me.

그래서 그들은 내 바로 앞자리에 앉았던거죠

 

When he kissed her lips

그가 그녀의 입술에 키스를 하는 순간

 

I almost died.

난 거의 호흡이 멈추어지는 줄 알았어요

 

And in the middle of the color cartoon

천연색의 영화가 한창 상영이 되었을때

 

I started to cry

난 울기 시작했습니다

So I got up and slowly I walked on home,

And Mama saw the tears

집에 돌아오자 엄마는 내 눈에 눈물을 보고서

 

and said "What"s wrong"

"무슨 일 있었니?"라고 물으셨습니다

 

So to keep from telling her a lie

그래서 난 엄마에게 거짓말시키지 않을려고

I just said "Sad movies make me cry"

그냥 이렇게 말했지요  "슬픈영화만 보면 눈물이 나요"
